New pages!

I wrote some new pages! Look over on the sidebar! One of them is just an essay. The other (References about Transhumanism) is going to be a compendium of interesting stuff about the topic! Mostly, I was intending to compile scientific articles, but I put in a couple of other categories too because some stuff that’s interesting just doesn’t appear in scientific journals.

I was thinking that I’d write summaries of everything, but I only put 4 links on there and the page is already a bit long, so I think I might have to give much shorter summaries of everything if I’m going to add a lot more stuff on there.

Anyway, based on the suggestion in the comment on my previous post, I decided to make that page instead of making a separate blog. So I’ll keep posting my personal stuff in this blog as well as my writing, and the transhumanism stuff will mostly go over there (although I might post about it here from time to time too, as I am doing now).

The other page I made was a short essay about one of the major ethical issues confronting transhumanism, which is that not everyone is going to have access to the technology at the same time, and you might have this issue of an elite group of highly enhanced people and a majority population of people who are pretty much the same as we are now (in terms of physical and intellectual capacity). This is actually the premise of the short story I’m writing (The Forgotten City) — if you didn’t figure that out from the first post, don’t worry, I was planning on making it explicit in the second post anyway.

It took me much longer than I expected to make those two pages, so I’m not going to write anything tonight. However, I am going to be on the plane for 8 hours tomorrow, and I am in fact bringing my computer, so I’ll probably write a lot then!

Oh yeah, the other thing I did was add contact info to the “about me” page! You can email me now! Of course, it’s an email address that I created just to go along with this blog, so that I can preserve my anonymity still, but I will actually check that account regularly and reply to emails! Way cool! (maybe)

I’m sooo looking forward to vacation this week. Reading. Math. Sightseeing. Writing. No stress. hell yeah!

also: regarding last night’s post — I didn’t have a hangover this morning.  Ha! (I have never had a hangover in my life. I was really sick the next morning after taking a lot of kratom one time though.)
